A compact disc is 4.72 in (120 mm) wide no matter its color — gold, blue-tinted, rainbow. It is the one manufactured, fixed-size object that recurs across this corpus, and for most of these works it is the only physical fact left. Three-quarters of the originals are destroyed. Only 21 of 1,087 works now have a real size — reconstructed by finding a CD inside the photograph and measuring outward from it. This page shows those 21, at true relative scale to each other, for the first time.

The next 20, unmeasured
These 20 also carry the compact-disc motif — a real disc may be visible in each — but none has gone through visual confirmation and measurement yet. Shown at one uniform reference width, not to scale, on purpose: nothing here should read as a size claim. Compare their footprint to the true-scale wall above and the difference is the point.
Of the 521 works still carrying an unmeasured compact-disc reference, the 20 above are pictured, unconfirmed. 501 more aren't shown here at all — the method is proven, the labor is not done. 545 works, exactly half the catalogue, carry no compact disc or other fixed-size object at all; for those, a real size may never be recoverable. The red numbers on their record pages will stay red.
