Fine Art

The earliest website preserved in this collection. Fourteen works hang edge to edge along a page roughly 8,585 pixels wide; it has never carried a title, and still opens as Untitled Document.

The archive reads it as a room — an early expression of the imagined museum this catalogue is full of.

Hand-authored HTML tables. One CSS rule — it takes the underline off his email address.

Preserved, not restored — what that means here

This site is kept exactly as it was. It was built for the screens and browsers of its own time, so it may not behave the way a page built today would: layouts sit at fixed widths, some links lead to addresses that have since changed hands, and parts of it were never finished. None of that has been corrected. It is the record.
